Crafting Developer Tools That Don't Waste Your Time
UIKode is an independent engineering lab founded by Andy Vandaric. We replace over-engineered complexity with raw speed, architectural elegance, and cryptographic trust.
Andy Vandaric
Founder, Systems Architect & Indie Hacker
Hi, I'm Andy. Over the past decade building production distributed systems, multi-agent pipelines, and full-stack software, one pattern became painfully obvious: modern developer tools have become bloated, fragile, and slow.
Modern web development drowned in 200MB node_modules, complex cloud dashboards, flaky WebSocket reconnections, and fragile microservice architectures. I founded UIKode to prove a different path: that a focused indie developer leveraging modern edge primitives, solid type systems, and disciplined software architecture can build tooling that outperforms enterprise corporate software.
Our Engineering Principles
Sub-Millisecond & 0ms Revisit
Data frameworks should serve cached data instantaneously while revalidating seamlessly in the background. No loading spinners for repeat navigation.
Offline-First Cryptography
Commercial licenses rely on asymmetric cryptographic verification. Once validated locally, tools never need to phone home to function.
High-Performance Distributed Edge
Everything runs on modern distributed edge primitives with global low-latency replication. Zero server maintenance, instant global response.
Minimal Lines of Code (High Density)
We enforce strict code discipline: 300 LOC recommendation per file. Every line must serve a direct, measurable purpose.
The UIKode Product Suite
@uikode/tide
WebSocket-First Reactive Data Framework for SolidJS
A 2.8KB gzip push-first real-time framework. Replaces bloated TanStack Query + manual WebSocket boilerplate with a unified reactive provider.
ACS (Agnostic Config Suites)
Autonomous AI Agent Fleet Management & CLI
Multi-agent coordination engine compiling CLI, local daemon, tool profiles, MCP server router, and scheduler into a single standalone binary.
